DocuMate 742
The DocuMate 742 is a high quality production sheetfed scanner that scans documents at 50 ppm (simplex) and 100 ipm (duplex) and includes a 100-page capacity Automatic Document Feeder. It has the ability to scan a wide range of mixed document sizes up to A3 and supports long document scanning up to 965 mm. Ultrasonic Double Feed Detection is built into the DocuMate 742 so you’ll never miss a page due to a misfeed or a stapled document going through the scanner. Small items such as plastic cards and large documents can easily be stacked in the ADF and instantly scanned to searchable PDF or many other document management software programs such as Xerox DocuShare, Microsoft SharePoint, and many more.

Visioneer OneTouch is an easy to use utility that connects the buttons on the scanner with a powerful set of scanner settings to greatly improve the efficiency of your workflow – so that with one touch, the document is scanned automatically to email, Word, your printer, or simply a file folder.
Kofax VRS (VirtualReScan) technology has a set of features for improving and enhancing the quality of scanned documents, especially documents that would usually produce poorer quality images. The AutoBrightness option analyzes the document to determine if it’s too light or dark to produce a clear, legible image, or if the background and highlighted areas of the image are indistinct. AutoBrightness then automatically adjusts the brightness. Scan configurations with VRS options work with One Touch scan settings to produce the best quality images. As pages pass through the scanner, VRS performs a multipoint inspection of each document, instantly checking and adjusting alignment (skew), brightness, contrast, and image clarity.
